点评：We recently completed the 13-day "Ecuador 3 Summits" package with Julio Verne, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From the moment I landed at Quito Airport until the final transfer back, the organization, logistics, and guiding were absolutely top-notch.
Julio Verne put together a perfect acclimatization itinerary that was crucial for our success. We started with incredibly scenic warm-up hikes up Pasochoa, Rucu Pichincha, and Rumiñahui. This built a solid foundation before we tackled the first major challenge: scrambling up the rocky peak of Iliniza Norte (5126m).
The glacier climbs were the absolute highlights. Our ASEGUIM-certified mountain guides were professional, encouraging, and prioritized safety at every step—from roping up on the Cotopaxi glacier to managing the tough final stretches. Reaching the snowcapped summit of Cotopaxi (5897m) at sunrise was magic. The ultimate test was Chimborazo. Staying at the unique Chimborazo High Camp (5350m) gave us a massive strategic advantage, enabling us to push through the night all the way to the Whymper summit (6263m) — the closest point to the sun!
The accommodations were fantastic and well-chosen, ranging from cozy boutique hotels like Ikala in Quito and Posada del Arte in Baños to beautiful mountain lodges like Cuello de Luna, Tambopaxi, and Chimborazo Lodge. All transport was private, punctual, and comfortable. Furthermore, the top-quality mountaineering gear provided by the agency was in excellent condition.
