丽贝岛的点评
点评：The sea surrounding this island is beautiful with clear turquoise and blue water and the sand is like powder particularly on Pattaya beach. The island itself is also beautiful but unfortunately very overcrowded with boats coming and going all day long. Walking street is manic at night with crowds of people and during the day is busy with motorbikes and trucks delivering goods. As a result it’s not pleasant to walk along. There are no roads as such so everything seemed congested with not enough infrastructure. When you walk around you find areas where rubbish bags are piled up which is an eye sore as obviously this little island has now got too popular and cannot cope with the amount of people. One of the locals told me that big fish used to come close to the beach but the boats have scared them away. The restaurants were not particularly good either with the exception of the elephant bar which was outstanding. At night every bar and restaurant was packed out. There are several beaches to walk to but sunset beach was nice and relaxing and not too busy which was nice. I enjoyed my stay there but it was not what I expected and I feel the cat is very much out of the bag.
