If you’re thinking about booking this tour—stop thinking and just do it.
We spent the day adventuring with our guide Pablo, who somehow managed to be part jungle expert, part wildlife detective, and part stand-up comedian. He led us to La Leona Waterfall while casually pointing out cool plants and spotting monkeys like it was the easiest thing in the world (we would’ve walked right past everything without him).
Highlights:
• Saw monkeys 🐒 (10/10, would stare at again)
• Ate an amazing authentic Costa Rican lunch (possibly the best meal of the trip?)
• Tubed down the Colorado River and laughed the entire time
• Our teenagers actually admitted they had fun… voluntarily
Pablo kept things fun, light, and entertaining the whole day—joking with the kids and making sure we always felt safe. By the end, my face hurt from smiling and laughing so much, which I consider a serious success.
Honestly, if all guides were like Pablo, I’d never travel without one again. Highly, highly recommend!
