点评：When I was seven years old, I was given a wonderful Donald Duck special edition by Carl Barks for Christmas. In the story “A,Whale of a Whale”, Donald tries to catch sperm whales in a bay in order to earn money with them as an attraction. As usual, however, serious trouble soon threatens him and the project fails miserably.
As a child, I was so fascinated by the size, the body shape, especially the shape of the head with the small mouth, that at first I didn't believe these animals really existed. But my father enlightened me, and from then on it had always been my dream to see at least one of these wonderful and strange animals in reality.
When I was just over thirty, the time had finally come and I was able to observe some specimens in the open sea from the coast of South Africa. But of course I didn't see much more than a dark shiny back, a dorsal fin or a fluke from a distance.
Last year, I heard about the sperm whales around Mauritius by chance from a friend. And it soon became clear to me: I have to go there.
And then, through Bart and Adrien, what I had only dreamed of for over fifty years, but had never thought was really possible, came true: I really did see sperm whales, at close range, in the vast ocean in the water, in full size and beauty, swimming peacefully and majestically past me like an ocean liner, and diving into the infinite depths, and me very small like a piece of plankton next to them ...
Now, at almost exactly sixty, a dream that was actually considered unreal came true.
It began with a Donald Duck story and ended with one of the most impressive experiences of my life.
