As Much as I Hate This Trite Description: Truly a Hidden Gem

点评：A lovely, almost fantasy, car-free “high street”, well worth a couple of hours to visit. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside with cake and coffee on a nice day at the very excellent Georg Konditorie. Sadly, not much happening, which is a shame because with its extensive collection of freshly restored half-timbered buildings and some attractive churches, it’s got the potential to rival touristy towns like Rothenberg. And with a highly accessible location to the autobahn and airport, and a magnetic outlet mall to boot. I did not visit the schools, don’t even know if it’s open to the public, but there’s that, too.
My gosh, get off your bottoms and promote the heck out of your beautiful town before it completely withers away.
I’m guessing that same (yawn) outlet mall has sucked all the energy out of the old town, which is a terrible shame. It really was a lovely find, and I’m very happy to have enjoyed it.
