Wonderful tasting room experience - a must visit for oenophiles when in Wertheim.

点评：We discovered Weingut Alte Grafschaft Kreuzwertheim as one of the excursions offered through our Uniworld River Cruise. We experienced an informal pretzel making demonstration and casual wine tasting with a fairly large group. One of my fellow travelers was a wine aficionado and, like me, particularly fond of Pinot Noir. We decided to stay at the winery, and walk back to the ship in order to visit the small tasting room and retail shop. One of the winery owners, Norbert Spielmann was our host for the tasting and he provided a wealth of information about the history, winemaking philosophy and regional viticulture. He was great company and helpfully, for us, spoke perfect English. His enthusiasm, knowledge and humor made the tasting very special. Their Pinot Noir was exceptional. We purchased a few bottles to take back to our ship and enjoyed them with table mates over a few on board dinners. Visiting Weingut Alte Grafschaft Kreuzwertheim was one of the highlights of this cruise. Thank you, Norbert! I only wish that their wines were exported to the west coast of the USA... so we hope to return, one day.
