点评：One thing I wish I had known before going is to carry a power bank. I missed out on the snorkelling pictures and videos. We started our boat ride at ten am. We had a delay in the activity as we ended up in the wrong boat. After that was sorted, we got into our boat and were given life jackets and a few historical stories from our guide on the marine life and history of the beach and town. The corals are so big that they surprised me, and they were different colours and patterns. It was such a surreal sight, and this was at first seen through the see-through glass in the middle of the boat. There were so many species of fish, all different colours and sizes. The trip was to visit the coral reef and snorkel at the protected Marine park. The coral reef is exposed at low tide, and a new island forms before the tides rise in the afternoon. Carry hardy sandals like Crocs, as the corals have sharp edges and can cave in. Also, the sandals protect you from any sea fish that can pierce, like sea urchins, which populate the coral reef. Walking there was like playing Minecraft in real life. The whole activity was to take 4- 5 hours; they were so timely that we left the boat straight to pick up our bags and go to the airport. We went to the coral reef first, then made a makeshift island, and the water was clear as the tide rose slowly. This was short as the tide comes in pretty fast, so if not careful you can be caught unaware. Marine guards were checking that every boat left before the tide came back. The full cost was 3,000 KES for my mum and me. And a 500 tip to our guide. It's best for groups or couples.
