Evil House Escape Room的点评
点评：⭐☆☆☆☆ – By far the worst escape room experience we have ever had.
We booked two rooms at Evil House in Valencia: Paranoia and Caronte. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a complete disaster from start to finish.
Paranoia was without a doubt the worst escape room we have ever played. The set design was poor, there was barely any coherent storyline, and the puzzles were so unclear that we constantly needed hints. Unfortunately, the game master spoke very little English, making the hints difficult to understand and leaving us even more confused.
The biggest issue, however, was safety.
During a chase sequence through a completely dark hallway, we were expected to run while there were protruding objects and sharp edges along the way. One member of our group had to be examined by a doctor after crashing shoulder-first into a cabinet sticking out into the hallway. Two other players were left bleeding after colliding with objects in the darkness. A horror escape room should be thrilling, but it should never put its players at risk of injury.
On top of that, we were repeatedly shocked with an electrical device. Only after the game were we told that it was a device normally used for insects. We had not been informed about this beforehand. It was genuinely painful and felt completely unnecessary. In our opinion, this has no place in a safe escape room experience.
As if that wasn’t enough, we later found out that we had skipped a large part of the room. The game suddenly ended with what felt like a forced ending before we had actually completed the experience. It felt as though the room had simply been cut short.
When we informed the staff that members of our group had been injured, there was no first aid or medical assistance available. Our concerns were barely acknowledged, and within a couple of minutes we were sent outside. We found this extremely unprofessional.
Things only got worse after that.
For our second booking, Caronte, we arrived at the scheduled time only to be told that our reservation had supposedly been moved to five o’clock without our knowledge. We then spent about an hour waiting while they tried to find a solution. In the end, we were told we could not play the room at all because of double bookings and later because of noise restrictions.
Yes, we received a refund for the second room, but that does not compensate for our travel expenses, the hours we wasted, or the fact that our entire evening was ruined.
To summarize:
* Poor and confusing puzzles.
* Little to no storyline.
* Unconvincing acting.
* Very poor English communication.
* An environment that, in our experience, was unsafe and resulted in multiple injuries.
* No first aid or proper aftercare despite reporting injuries.
* A room that did not even have a proper ending.
* A second booking that became impossible to play because of the company’s own scheduling mistakes.
We have played many escape rooms and regularly travel specifically to experience them, but this was by far the worst escape room experience we have ever had. We cannot recommend this company to anyone and strongly advise anyone visiting Valencia to choose a different escape room.
