点评：Valparai is a hill station near Coimbatore and it is about 85 kms away. The road is narrow and hilly tracks and so it takes about 3 hours plus to reach by car. It has 40 hairpin bends en route. You can see some breath taking scenes while travelling, especially the tea estates.
Having reached Valparai, you will see only lot of "Home stay" for your accommodation. I could not see a decent hotel or a fine dining restaurant. One has to manage with local food and fast-food outlets. For a tourist location, very poor maintenance of roads, food outlets, hygiene, etc.. You will get an average type of accommodation.
As regard to sight seeing there are a few dam sites and tea estates. Nothing much.
People are friendly and helpful.
On the whole it is not maintained as an important tourist location. Needs a lot of improvement.
