点评:The place is very large but unfortunately overcrowded. We have been visiting Hobbledown Heath since it first opened, and sadly it has become worse over time and is no longer as good as it used to be.
There are also serious safety concerns on site. Recently, an autistic boy attacked my friend’s son, and yesterday a boy with Down syndrome attacked my 6yo daughter. In both cases, the children were left unsupervised.
To be honest, it is extremely difficult to supervise children properly in such a large soft-play area unless parents are present at all times. After speaking with the parent involved, there was no apology to my daughter or to me—only excuses. The mother stated that she was looking after several other children (around 5–6 siblings) and admitted that she could not supervise her disabled child properly at all times, despite acknowledging that he can be aggressive.
As a result of this incident, my daughter is now scared of people with DS, which is very upsetting. I strongly believe there should be a clear rule that children with additional needs or behavioural issues must be supervised 100% of the time, to ensure the safety of all children and to prevent others from being put at risk.
