点评:I recently visited Sandra’s Farm in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. I want to start by saying that our tour guide, Jose, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about sharing the farm’s history and processes. He did a great job with the resources and conditions he had to work with.
Unfortunately, I felt that the overall experience did not match the price. The road leading to the farm is very treacherous and lacks adequate signage. A few well-placed signs along the route would make visitors feel much more confident that they are heading in the right direction.
Upon arrival, the property gives the impression of an abandoned warehouse rather than a welcoming attraction. The only restroom available was dirty and in need of attention, which was disappointing.
Our tour also had to be cut short due to heavy rain. When we moved to the house for the demonstration, the guide had to gather all of the materials while we waited on the terrace, where we were getting wet from the rain. It gave the impression that there wasn’t a contingency plan or that the demonstration area hadn’t been prepared in advance.
I believe the experience has a lot of potential, especially because of the quality of the guide. However, for the price charged, I would expect better signage, cleaner facilities—particularly the restroom—and improved preparation for demonstrations, including a weather backup plan. With a few thoughtful improvements, this could become a much more enjoyable and memorable experience.
