Not Just for Coffee Drinkers

点评：We were very fortunate to have discovered this tour. Our guide, Carmelo, was patient, charismatic, and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for every aspect of coffee--its history, cultivation, production and consumption--made the tour a delight. And it went well beyond coffee: Carmelo pointed out a plethora of other plants that grow wild on the property (which is absolutely gorgeous and boasts spectacular views of the surrounding countryside) and helped us understand the economic and political factors that have shaped the coffee industry in Puerto Rico over the years. This was one of the best and most informative tours I've ever had any place in the world. In fact, the word "tour" doesn't even really do it justice: Carmelo basically gave us a crash-course in coffee, culminating in a coffee-and-chocolate tasting that was as instructive as it was delicious. Oh, and by the way: You don't even have to be a coffee drinker to enjoy this tour. Even the non-coffee drinkers on the tour loved it! Frankly, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a lot about Puerto Rico, visit a stunning locale, and taste some unique and delicious local products expertly prepared.
