Rushed experience due to awful rain.

点评：We did the night light walk during a yellow rain warning. As it wasn't cancelled we thought it might not be too bad. How wrong we were! We travelled from dry county Kildare. The weather got worse the further we travelled. And deteriorated even further on the walk. Despite our layers and rain gear we were soaked through. We enjoyed the treetop walk to the tower. Special lights and information were added for St. Brigids weekend. We almost had the tower to ourselves when we reached it. We encountered two members of staff at different stages on our way up the tower. They were both very pleasant in the increasingly bad rain. My husband thought the awful rain added to the whole experience. I was not in agreement. By the time we reached the top we were both so cold and wet I just wanted to be at home. There was no visibility whatsoever from the top. We hurried back down and I felt somewhat cheated that we could not return via the treetop walk. We had to exit through a one way system that left us confused and lost in the dark and rain. It was no fun trying to find the car park. Signage was very poor overall. We eventually found our way to the coffee shop and asked for directions. It would have been much better if we could have returned via the treetop walk to somewhat familiar surroundings. This would also have given us the choice to dine in the coffee shop at the end of our walk instead of at the beginning, which we had no desire to do. Overall I felt that the experience should have been cancelled in order for us to receive a refund. It was expensive at €46 for two OAP's including parking. Parking should not cost an extra €6. My husband would like to return in daylight and better weather. He might avail of the extra €2 to pay to do the slide. Me...... I'm not so sure! Maybe we did not see it at its best and I could be persuaded to give it another go.
