Beautiful site but....difficult to tolerate such inhuman treatment

点评：The site is simply breathtaking, timeless, incredibly well preserved, and a truly magnificent experience.
The only downside, and that’s an understatement, is that, as in the rest of the town of Mystra, there are many cats on the site who are clearly underfed and in very poor condition. They do not appear to be fed, let alone regulated (neutered). It is truly heartbreaking to visit such a beautiful place, which is still inhabited, as nuns live in the upper building on the left, and witness what feels like inhumane neglect of animals who clearly did not choose to be there.
It is difficult to understand why nothing is being done to feed and manage them, as is the case in cities like Athens. It is a deeply distressing situation that unfortunately casts a shadow over an otherwise extraordinary visit.
