点评:Absolutely loved our time at the Tanshikar Spice Farm. This is the real deal: a 25-acre organic spice farm where they grow a wide variety of Goan spices the old-fashioned way. The owner is third-generation – i.e. both his father and grandfather farmed it before him / he and his family still live in the original house (which you can tour). Our guide was superb: she gave us a concise explanation of each plant... how it's cultivated, how each crop is nurtured, gathered and prepared, culinary uses and medicinal benefits. Her knowledge was encyclopaedic, her English clear, and she seemed to enjoy explaining everything. A simple buffet lunch afterwards, with plenty of veggie options, completed an excellent morning for us. We enjoyed their spice shop, too; it offers a terrific range. Highly recommended.
