Journey With Jaguars的点评
点评：We had a wonderful time during our 5-day (4-day safari) experience with Journey with Jaguars! We initially booked the tour with the hopes of seeing jaguars in the Pantanal, but we ended up seeing more than we ever expected. Booking was quick and straightforward, and Ben and his team were incredibly responsive. Communication before the tour was excellent, and we were all picked up safely for our group tour, with all of the logistics coordinated seamlessly.
On the safari, we saw so many incredible animals! Jaguars were a huge highlight, but it was also wonderful to see other species, including giant river otters, tapirs, capybaras, caimans, and numerous bird species. Each day, we witnessed different jaguar behaviors, with one particular highlight being a jaguar successfully catching a caiman right in front of us!
Our guide, Dani, was absolutely incredible! She had a vast knowledge of the Pantanal's biology and was patient and kind enough to answer all of our questions (especially my extensive questions about birds). She inspired our group's passion for the wildlife through her own enthusiasm and knowledge—I couldn't have asked for a better guide.
Ico, our boat driver, was also incredibly valuable for tracking and spotting jaguars. Our boat always seemed to be positioned in exactly the right place at the right time (including for the jaguar hunt) thanks to him!
Suggestions: Before booking, definitely read the "Before You Book" information on their website. The days are quite long and hot, so this tour wouldn't be for everyone. For photographers, it's helpful to bring a dry bag, as it occasionally rains in the area. I'd also recommend bringing a charging block, as power in the region can be spotty. My camera batteries would only charge reliably using the charging block.
My favorite moments, however, were when I put the camera down and simply enjoyed the experience—especially being just feet away from a mother jaguar and her cubs. It was an unforgettable trip, and I would highly recommend Journey With Jaguars to anyone looking for an incredible wildlife experience!
