From start to finish, our experience with The Cape Town Tour Guide Co. was nothing short of outstanding. As first-time visitors to Cape Town, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to this beautiful, complex, and fascinating city.
The planning process was seamless, with incredible support from the team (shoutout to Nicole) — responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in creating the best possible experience for us. Once on the ground, our guide Kyle was exceptional: highly professional, warm, and with second-to-none knowledge of Cape Town. Driving around with him felt like peeling back layers of rich history and culture we simply wouldn’t have discovered on our own.
The vehicle was modern, clean, and safe, and the team was especially accommodating of our mobility needs — something that made a huge difference and was handled with total ease and care.
What really set this company apart was the above and beyond service. From securing the best tables at restaurants and all activity bookings, to handling last-minute changes like true pros. When weather forced us, for example, to change our Robben Island tickets — which could have meant losing a much sought-after afternoon tea booking at the Mount Nelson — the team worked absolute magic and saved the day.
The itinerary was also completely flexible and built around us, not a rigid schedule. We felt looked after, listened to, and genuinely welcomed with the best of South African hospitality.
