Thoroughly enjoyed Bluff to Peak Tour

点评：My husband and I were travelling with another couple of friends on a cruise ship and needed a tour to fit in with the limited time we had. We caught the ship’s complimentary shuttle to the Isite Centre in Napier as tour operators were not allowed access to the port and we met Yvonne our tour/guide/driver nearby.
Yvonne’s friendly personality and knowledgeable commentary of Napier made for a very enjoyable few hours. There were 7 passengers in the airconditioned comfortable 9-seater vehicle. The drive to the Bluff Hill lookout and particularly Te Mata Peak (jaw dropping views) was a highlight.
Yvonne organized some complimentary fig ice cream at the Te Mata Figgery and we stopped off at the Arataki Honey Farm (so many lovely varieties of honey to taste). My favourite stop was at Birdwoods Gallery and Café. Would love to revisit this gorgeous spot one day. Great coffee and ambiance.
As we drove back to Napier, we also witnessed some of the devastating damage caused by the recent cyclone and flooding in February. It was a bit of an eye opener, and we hope that Napier will fully recover. We encourage anyone considering a tour to do so. Let’s help Napier get back on its feet.
Absolute DeTours offered a comprehensive tour of Napier and the surrounding area, with a variety of interesting stops and beautiful views.
