Nice massage service, felt it was overpriced
The Spa at Hotel Contessa的点评
点评：I enjoyed my Contessa Massage (50 min) with Rebecca. She did excellent work and was very friendly. I was given a hand scrub to start then the massage ($165). I appreciated that as my hands suffer in the winter! I added "Smooth the Sole" service ($60). This adds an exfoliating scrub/warm wrap to the feet and legs but does not add time to the appointment. I would say that this detracts from the massage by limiting the massage time on legs/feet. The benefit was minimal and seemed like more of a money-maker for the spa. I was not informed of the $45 "service charge" automatically added for the technician and anther $6.75 for the property. Property? Isn't your property just a cost of doing business? Why am I being charged more? It turned me off and I decided against providing any further tip. I was given a scented cream to take home that is a signature product of this spa, developed by the spa manager. It's nice but probably not something I'd choose. This was a good massage service but overpriced at $290.36 simply due to being part of a boutique hotel. I accepted it as part of our travel experience (couldn't change it at that point anyway!) but would be able to justify returning. For reference, my monthly massages at home are 60 min for $100 (not a spa but that's ok).
