Pendle Heritage Centre的点评
点评：I found Pendle Heritage Centre when searching for dog-friendly places to visit and it is indeed completely dog-friendly. Dogs are allowed absolutely everywhere, this includes the museum, shop, cafe and gardens. There is a small but interesting and informative museum which is child-friendly, there’s a few interactive features such as smelling different herbs and witch-drawing. There’s a little gift shop too. £14 for a family ticket, very reasonable.
The cafe is a real find (will definitely be going back!) , excellent quality food, great service and very reasonably priced. There’s hot food choices as well as sandwiches, soups etc and it’s licensed as well. There’s Lakes ice-cream which we ate going round the gardens. The cafe staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. There’s a beautiful little fairy trail, great for kids and we even saw a couple of horses close-up in a neighbouring paddock. There’s a reservoir nearby if you want a further walk. Barrowford is a lovely little village/town with lots of nice shops and places to eat.
I’m surprised the centre wasn’t more busy during half-term, this is an excellent place to visit with children but suitable for couples etc and people of all ages.
