点评：We have been holidaying in Tenerife every year for the last five years and have always loved spending our days on the beach rather than by the pool. Sadly, after our most recent visit, we feel this may be our last year.
The number of vendors approaching people on the beach has become overwhelming. Last month was the worst we have experienced, with someone coming round roughly every five minutes. It made it very difficult to relax and enjoy what should have been a peaceful holiday.
What concerned me most was that some of the tactics now feel much more intrusive. On more than one occasion, people offering massages physically touched my legs or feet without permission. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect personal space and consent, even on a busy tourist beach.
There were also occasions where I felt emotionally pressured, including one woman telling me she had a baby to feed. I have sympathy for people trying to earn a living, and I do give to charities, but I do not feel holidaymakers should be repeatedly approached or guilt-tripped while simply trying to rest on the beach.
We did see police vehicles passing occasionally, but it appeared to have little effect, and the vendors seemed aware in advance when they were coming.
I hope whoever is responsible for managing the beach will take this issue seriously. Tenerife is a beautiful place and we have loved returning year after year, but the current situation is making the beach experience stressful rather than enjoyable.
