Free, and close to Cruise Pier, and it shows…
Junkanoo Beach的点评
点评：Junkanoo beach is just a short walk from the Nassau Cruise Port, and it is pretty tame and clean….if you are smart enough to get there early. Our family hustled straight over early after our ship docked at the port, and we were some of the first people on the beach. This gave us a good hour or so of peaceful swimming and ship-watching, but as it drew closer to noon the place began overflowing with people from numerous ships and was no longer relaxing. I also noted that there were numerous people walking up and asking if we wanted to rent jet skis or other water activities. We were fortunate that we could retreat into the nearby resort that we had an (expensive) day pass for, and from the resort we could chill and observe the swelling mass of people until it was time to head back to our ship.
The beach itself was clean, and the water was clear and warm (for December). If not for the crowds it would be much better, an in fact as we sailed out around 4pm we could see from our balcony cabin that the place was a completely empty paradise again.
If you can handle a pretty but crowded beach close to the port and don’t want to pay for an excursion, Junkanoo is your place.
