点评:Taking bus no 10 after visiting Bulguksa Temple, I alighted at Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond stop. Crossing the road, there are so many flower fields to explore such as sunflowers, cosmos, asters etc. I visited a day after the APEC summit ended in Gyeongju on 2nd Nov. After the delightful walk on natural mats on the ground, I finally arrived at the Cheomseongdae Obsevatory. It is the oldest astronomical observatory in Asia built during the reign of Queen Seondeok of the Silla Dynasty. The 9.17m high observatory was designated as National Treasure No. 31 on 20 December 1962. One may consider hopping on the cute-looking Jewel Beetle Electric Car at Cheomseongdae Observatory if you are too tired to walk. I took a coffee break opposite to the Observatory. After the break, it was an easy walk to Gyerim Forest which is very near to the Observatory. I also continued on to the Woljeonggyo Bridge.
