点评:Unfortunately, our visit to the Government Museum in Alwar was quite disappointing, as the museum was closed for maintenance during our visit and, as we understood, had reportedly been closed for more than six months. It would be advisable to check the current status before planning a visit.
The museum is housed in the same building as the Alwar Court, making the location interesting from a historical and architectural perspective. However, since the museum was closed, we could not explore the collections or exhibits.
There are two main routes to reach the museum. One is via Kachahri and City Palace Road, which is also the route towards Alwar Fort. The other is through Bajaja Bazaar.
If you are driving your own vehicle, I would recommend taking the Bajaja Bazaar route. The road is relatively manageable, except for a narrow stretch around the Shiv Temple.
The Kachahri Road route can be particularly challenging during the final 150–200 metres. The road becomes extremely narrow, and in some sections, it is difficult for even two cars to pass each other comfortably. Drivers need to be particularly cautious and confident while navigating this stretch.
