点评:We visited in December and spent a couple of hours here. Highlights include seeing the outdoor areas and especially the stave church but we also enjoyed seeing all the Norwegian folk art. There is a lot to explore here and planning for 2 hours would be reasonable but on a nice day or with the right interest level you could spend much more time here.
We visited in the winter and it was very icy so we would recommend wearing good winter footwear and even consider bringing some ice cleats with you. We felt the outdoor area could improve with the use of gravel because we felt some areas were too slippery and we couldn't explore safely.
There is a good restaurant called Arkadia & Torgkafeen that we grabbed a quick bite at before exploring the museum and they have plenty of souvenirs here. We would recommend bringing snacks and plenty of water because there is a lot to explore at this museum.
The Folkemuseum is close to the Viking Ship Museum and just down the road from the Fram Museum and Kon-Tiki Museum. You can easily see two to three museums in a day in this area of Oslo and we would recommend this one and the Fram Museum. We took the bus out here and thought we could just pay with our credit/debit card but you need to set up online payment through Ruter application and we would recommend doing this in advance.
