点评：What an amazing experience at Paloma Vineyard. Out of the 20 wineries we had scheduled, Paloma was one of the ones I was looking forward to the most. Several of the reviews we read prior to booking mentioned having their wine tasting with Sheldon, which we too were fortunate to experience. The goal of my week was to get to know some of the smaller, less known wineries I might not see in a grocery store or out and about. When we pulled in, we were greeted by Sheldon and his beautiful dogs (which sold us immediately). I truly enjoyed spending time on the patio talking about wine and life as a smaller wine maker and the challenges that come with it. I don’t think most people think about what goes into producing a great bottle of wine. I was incredibly fortunate to spend the time talking not only about wine, but family and life with Sheldon. I truly felt how genuinely blessed he feels with the life he has and all of it is based on hard work. It’s not easy doing what wine makers do and I could also tell how important it is to produce a bottle of wine that most people can afford. It’s easy to charge hundreds of dollars for a great bottle of wine, but people like Sheldon don’t want to raise their prices by $3 so the average consumer can afford it. That says it all to me. I recommend Paloma vineyard to everyone who appreciates a great bottle of wine (especially merlot) and an even better wine maker and human being. Thank you for your time hosting us. We appreciate it more than you know. Please give our love to your great dogs as well.
