点评：To all current or prospective visitors of Ranger Zoo: I first visited Ranger Zoo in 2019 while visiting my cousins. Even back then, the zoo was completely outdated, but it was clear the animals were doing well; the enclosures were clean, and the animals were well-groomed. The kangaroos, in particular, were very trusting and would take food from our hands. We had a lovely time with the animals. When I visited the zoo again with my cousins last year (2025), I was met with a horrifying sight. Many enclosures were empty and filthy; the kangaroos appeared very weak and took food from our hands only very, very hesitantly—if at all. The animals' water was incredibly dirty—clearly not changed for days—and the containers were equally filthy, suggesting they hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks. Clean water containers were nowhere to be found for the other animals, either. Many animals had no food, while for others—especially the birds—the food was simply tossed into the enclosures. In many enclosures, there is a risk of injury due to dilapidated fences or wire mesh. I spoke to the operator in my broken English, and he claimed the animals get fresh water every other day—though the state of the containers suggested otherwise. Even in the shop, cobwebs were piling up around his computer. If I knew who to contact, I would report this to the veterinary authorities. Perhaps one of you can do so. I have attached some photos I took during my visit.
