点评:Would just like to make families aware that my 6-year-old son was bitten by the carpet python they had on display for the daily 'snake talk and handling' when we visited last weekend 22nd November. It quickly became apparent that this snake should never have been brought on display that day as the keeper commented afterwards that it had been 'off' and hissing when first brought out. Also, the response staff gave to this incident and the "first aid" my son received on site was certainly lacking and has been reported.
I was already unimpressed at the overall condition of the "zoo" and welfare of the animals, as many others have commented. I think it's simply that there is too much to maintain (too many animals) for the resources available (lack of trained staff, funds).
Obviously public are responsible to some extent for their own safety. My son and I have safely held snakes at wildlife parks prior to this and had no issues.
