点评：Lycabettus wins unmatched bragging rights for its stunning 360-degree panoramic views. A mandatory stop on any Athenian itinerary.The limestone viewing terrace features the beautiful, whitewashed 19th-century Chapel of St. George. The best time to visit is sunset, when you can watch the sun dip below the horizon and see the ancient Parthenon illuminate below.
You can walk to the top and it takes approx 30 mins depends on your fitness levels.Otherwise take the underground funicular railway from the Kolonaki neighbourhood (~€13 return). Be aware that the 3-minute train ride is entirely inside a dark tunnel, so there are no views until you reach the top.
The peak offers the casual Cafe Lycabettus and the upscale restaurant Orizontes Lycabettus. If booking the restaurant, request a terrace table in advance for an incredible view of the illuminated city.
If you have mobility issues, take a taxi directly to the funicular station, as the neighborhood walk to get there is incredibly steep as we found out and yes it was hard work.
