点评:Usually, you have to get down from the car on the main road itself, as vehicles cannot directly go till the temple. From there, you need to walk around 400 meters and then climb around 50-100 stairs to reach the temple.
The temple is one of the most famous temples in Mumbai and is dedicated to Maa Mahalakshmi, Maa Mahakali, and Maa Mahasaraswati. It is believed that during the construction of the Hornby Vellard project, the work kept failing due to sea disturbances. Later, the idols of the goddesses were found in the sea and installed here, after which the project was completed successfully. Since then, devotees believe the temple brings blessings and prosperity.
When we visited, there were only around 10-15 people, so we got darshan almost instantly, in less than a minute. It felt very peaceful and amazing. We bought flowers from outside and offered them inside the temple.
One important thing, currently there is no proper shoe stand available. People there said one is under construction, so for now you either have to buy prasad from shops outside and keep footwear there, or keep them at your own risk.
After darshan, just beside the temple downstairs, there is a beautiful Hanuman temple, and another small temple opposite to it, both worth visiting.
Overall, within around 15 minutes, we completed everything peacefully. It’s a very nice and peaceful temple with calm positive vibes and good seating space.
