Very odd and disappointed!
Denbies Wine Estate Ltd的点评
点评：Being a local we often walk via Dorking over to denbies so we set out for a 4 mile walk with the aim at the end to sit outside the hotel/restaurant and enjoy lunch and a glass of fizz as we had seen the sharing platters advertised previously..as it was as we arrived on this sunny day !
A lady came out as we sat at one of the empty tables...no hello just "have you booked"! No we haven't so we was pointed to the other end in the shade with the other empty tables ! We had to go in and ask for a menu, friendly young lad came out to take our order,we ordered drinks and when he bought them back we asked for the lunch menu that was advertised at the entrance..to be told only packets of crips were available! No explanation as to why no food ....we sat puzzled the same as the 2 tables next to us .....we stayed an hour to witness a nearby table having cream tea and the tables being set up for dinner which I presume started at 6 pm..now 3pm in the sunshine....the same table we wasnt allowed to sit at with a reserved sign on remained empty for our stay....overall disappointment mostly due to the service and lack of communication...a real shame as we as like today will walk over again but we wouldnt stop again at the hotel/restaurant.......if only the lady had greeted us more welcoming,explained why we couldn't sit at the empty tables and that no food/platters were available.....she was more interested in putting the tableware out ..despite no food !

我们刚在一张空桌子旁坐下，一位女士就走了出来……连句“你好”都没有，只是问“你们预订了吗？”我们没有，于是她指了指桌子另一头阴凉处的其他空桌！我们只好进去要菜单，一位友好的年轻小伙子出来帮我们点餐，我们点了饮料，等他把饮料端回来后，我们问他有没有门口广告上的午餐菜单……结果被告知只有薯片！没有解释为什么没有食物……我们和隔壁两桌的客人一样，一脸困惑地坐着……我们待了一个小时，看到附近一桌客人在享用下午茶，而餐桌正在摆放，准备晚餐，我猜晚餐应该是下午6点开始的……现在阳光明媚，下午3点了……我们明明挂着预订牌，却被禁止入座，在我们用餐期间，那张桌子一直空着……总的来说，非常失望，主要是因为服务和沟通不畅……真是太可惜了，虽然我们今天还会再去那里，但不会再在这家酒店/餐厅停留了……如果那位女士能更热情地接待我们，解释一下为什么我们不能坐在空桌子上，以及为什么没有食物/餐盘供应……她似乎更热衷于摆放餐具……尽管没有食物！
