Amazing zoo, a real treat
阿提斯动物园的点评
点评：Wonderfully beautiful zoo in the centre of Amsterdam. You can get a reduced entrance fee if you buy online and you dont have to queue. There are QR codes at the entrance for you to buys as you enter. There are different charges for a couple of other areas but I just opted for the zoo ifself. I only had a few hours in Amsterdam as I was on a dfds mini cruise. I managed to easily get to the zoo by tram for 12 and stayed until 3 to get back to the coach pick up for 3.30.
The zoo comprises lovely enclosures and restored buildings. The walkways throughout the zoo are a pleasure to wander around and some lovely surprises and sculptures.
The animals appear to be happy and enjoying there enclosures and habitats.
Regular talks throughout the day only in dutch, but animals fed and made apearances during the talks. The lions were very impressive.
The bird and butterfly houses are great to explore.
Seals underwater observation area great for watching them.
Gorillas and giant tortoises were easily accessible.
I saw lots of artists around the zoo drawing the animals.
The animals are all visible and there were lots of families and school trips enjoying the day.
The new aquarium is fantastic, old building renovated and lots of original features maintained. Displays are amazing and easy to see the fish and did not feel crowded.
My favourite spot is the cafe seating near the African Penguins. Lovely coffee and fab banana bread treat.
Highly recommend and accessible for young and old alike.

水下的海豹观测区是观看海豹的绝佳去处。大猩猩和巨龟都很容易看到。

新建成的水族馆棒极了——旧建筑经过了翻新，许多原有的特色也得以保留。展示效果令人惊叹，能清楚地看到各种鱼类，而且并不觉得拥挤。
我最喜欢的地方就是非洲企鹅区附近的咖啡馆。那里的咖啡很美味，香蕉面包也堪称一绝。强烈推荐，老少皆宜。
