ARTIS absolutely blew me away. I genuinely wasn’t expecting to be this impressed, but this was easily one of the highlights of our time in Amsterdam and somewhere I would happily visit again.
Firstly, the landscaping is beautiful. It doesn’t simply feel like you’re walking around a zoo — it feels like you’re exploring a gorgeous, peaceful park that just happens to have incredible animals throughout it. The grounds are so well maintained and there’s clearly been so much thought put into the surroundings.
I also really appreciated how informative everything was. There were signs and information about the different animals and species throughout, so you weren’t just looking at them; you were actually learning as you went.
But the aquarium completely blew me away! 😍
It was so much more interactive and educational than I expected. There were fascinating exhibitions covering everything from water wastage and our impact on the planet to the oceans, conservation and the incredible variety of species living beneath the water. It made you stop, interact, learn and actually think about the wider environment rather than simply walking from one tank to another.
One of the things I loved most about ARTIS overall was the attention given to the animals’ environments. Whether we were looking at the fish or the animals around the zoo, the habitats felt carefully designed around the individual species and creating the best and most comfortable environment possible for them. That really stood out to me.
The combination of the beautiful park, animals, aquarium, interactive exhibitions and educational side made the whole experience feel incredibly well thought out.
This isn’t somewhere I would visit once just to say I’ve been — I would genuinely come back. ❤️
Absolutely worth the entrance price, and if you’re visiting Amsterdam and enjoy zoos, aquariums, wildlife or conservation, I highly recommend making time for ARTIS. 🐘🐠🌿🌊

总体而言，我最喜欢ARTIS的一点是它对动物生存环境的重视。无论我们看的是鱼类还是动物园里的各种动物，它们的栖息地似乎都是经过精心设计的，旨在为每种动物创造最适宜、最舒适的生存环境。这一点真的给我留下了深刻印象。
