A lovely day for a stroll on the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta

点评：Our tour began with a stroll on The Malecon. ‘Malecon’ means: a promenade, board-walk, or embankment along a waterfront. In Puerto Vallarta, the Malecón is a 12-block, mile-long esplanade in Puerto Vallarta's downtown area. Built between 1935 and 1936, it was expanded between 1940 and 1952. In 2002, the Malecón was destroyed by a hurricane. After 9 years of repairs, the Malecón was reopened with a wider pedestrian walkway. Along the Malecón there are restaurants, jewelry and clothing stores, and craft vendors. Among the features here are Los Arcos, the Malecón Lighthouse, and a collection of sculptures.
It was a lovely day so the Malecon was busy, despite there being no festivals going on.
Puerto Vallarta is located at the same latitude as the northern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii, around 20° North. This shared latitude means both locations experience similar tropical climates with warm temperatures year-round. The distance between them is 3,386 miles.
while visiting, we saw the Sculptures Boy on a Seahorse, In search of Reason, the Arches and some inviting seacoast views.
