点评：Chilika Lake, located in Odisha, is Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon and the world's second-largest. Spanning the Puri, Khurda, and Ganjam districts.
We took a 4 hours private Boat Ride Tour for a family from Gabakunda (45km from Puri), a serene eco-tourism and boating hub located near the Sipakuda channel of Chilika Lake.
The tour covers the part of this renowned biodiversity hotspot and premier eco-tourism destination. Chilka lake is famous for its migratory birds, rare Irrawaddy dolphins, rare red crabs, scenic island temples and beautiful pure sand beaches. The boat tour cost us ₹5,300 only to be paid in cash only. Wearing of Life Jackets is must.
At the 1st stop, they showed us Red Crabs, Pearls, Red Stone etc. On the way to Dolphin Point, there was lot of sea birds. No Dolphin view there even waiting for more than 60 minutes due to large no. of boats there & higher noise level of music by some boats in the lake, as per boat driver. Lastly we went to Sea Mouth Island. Some restaurants are there for sea food lovers. We went to the beach side on Bay of Bengal. The beach was neat and clean. One ATR was there to get a round of 500m paying ₹350. We had Maggi & Tea there in a small snacks stall on the sea beach. Good weather make the stay entertaining & relaxing. Lots of pictures taken there in the sea. The tour was complete in 4hrs with return on the same place.
