点评：No other word could describe it better: "imposing".
This cathedral is as impressive outside as it is inside, which is not always the case. Outside it looms large (literally), over the entire old city. You could see it from quite a few blocks out as you're driving into town. Like a beacon, the Christmas Market vendors and goers surround the church.
Inside it echoes, like any good church would, and it feels as if walking from one end to the other would be far too much of a pilgrimage for one day. Its columns are tall, and girthy, and its pews are many. The only colour emanating from the outside is filtered through the stained glass windows, which adorn the church's sides.
Ulm is a beautiful town, though criminally underrated. If you dream of large Gothic churches that ooze history, you must come here.
