The Station的点评
点评：I didn't go for the cinema but it appeared to be showing up to date films. Nor did I do any shopping but they were pleasant, interesting speciality shops. This is not the venue for your weekly grocery shop. I also enjoy art galleries even if I have no intention of buying anything (and I didn't feel put under pressure to do so!)
I went for lunch at the cafe. It is very popular and they clearly like you to book in advance, which we hadn't. However, they did manage to find us a table. I would rate the food relatively expensive but, on the other hand, the portions are generous and the quality good. I kind of wanted to find fault with the place when I went in but came out full of compliments. If I am in Richmond again, it is likely to my first option for lunch. It has a fairly substantial menu, though I was only ever going to go for soup and sandwiches, both of which I would recommend, particularly the soup (Moroccan lamb).
I should add that there is a charge for parking outside The Station but if you want to look for free parking, you will have to go a long distance away.
