Tranquil out of town garden.

点评：Founded in 1962, the garden has clearly seen better times.
No one had promised a 5 🌟 experience, so I knew what to expect.
It’s about 45-60 minutes drive from Thamel.
(Use the In-Drive app and pick an electric vehicle for your conscience, you might negotiate that the driver waits 2hrs for the return journey )
I visited in May, and not much colour was on show.
It’s in a lovely wooded setting n a big site below Phulchowki hill.
Very good birdsong all around.
Ethereal cloud over the hills.
A lot of trees are named.
There had been some planting of annual plants flowing plants, but a bit sad.
The tropical house is in disrepair and could be so much more.
The cactus house was locked, but sad.
The orchid house was locked, but sad
The rose garden had seen better days.
The Lily garden appeared to have only 2-3 varietals.
There are various Nepali ‘resort’ places within 5-10 mins drive where you could have lunch if making a day of getting out of KTM, perhaps even the cable car?
