古奥林匹亚遗址的点评
点评：We arrived as early as we could ( about 10.00am), to beat the crowds . This was a good decision as the cruise coaches started to arrive shortly afterwards. No problem though, as long as everyone is patient and waits for the processions of people to pass by, everyone comes away with good photographs.
Note: there is a toilet at the back of the site about 30 minutes into your visit, so check out the loo before entering the site. Toilets also at the cafe.
It's one visit per ticket to the site itself and also the museum. Do the site first then the museum.
Very interesting visit. Lots to learn. The museum is a must do as everything is there really. Interesting to to see the stadium , which is great and awe inspiring because of its age, but manage your expectations 😉.
Overall a must do for this area.
Phaedius workshop is interesting, now a basilica, where the golden statue of zeus was made, but this isn't here anymore. There is a painting of what it might have looked like in the museum.
The statue of Hermes, in the museum is worth looking out for.
