点评:The ruins itself is amazing, as someone else wrote I too am not sure why it is not publicised more. We walked the ruins on an incredibly windy day, lots of people including my husband did it in flip flops with no issues. We took our ATV up the zig zag road, this easily looked to be a 2 hour trek on foot. The reason I’ve marked it down is that there is a visitor centre where your entrance fee is taken with a sign publicising the large sum of money the EU invested into the site yet once we had paid the attendant advised there are no toilets. This is a joke. The drive up was long enough, imagine walking and hydrating then getting to the top and having nowhere to go with another 1-2 hour walk in front of around the ruins and then the walk back down!! I find it hard to believe that large building with a large investment does not have public toilets, they should be open. All this is encouraging is desperate people having to find blind spots to relieve themselves. Also, the gentleman at the gate didn’t tell us that there is a QR code as you enter where you can download a site map etc which would have been a nice addition to the trip. The ruins are a must, much better than Akrotiri but with no public conveniences in the middle of nowhere it may be a struggle if you choose to walk or have a weak bladder ( as I do!)
