Nice garden didn't make up for the rest of the visit

点评：The garden was beautiful.
However, most of the venue was closed for renovations - and not only did the staff not tell us this before we had spent £70 and 30minutes sat in their shop downloading the Citycard app, they also didn’t understand how to use said Citycard at their half-closed museum either. So they could not properly scan us in or register our visit.
To make things worse, they were extremely unhelpful (and in the case of one staff member, extremely rude) about scanning us into the very limited areas that actually were still open to the public with the card.
I’ve no idea what the renovations entail or why they think they’re necessary, as info on both is very limited at time of writing.
But after our rather poor experience here, I can’t in good conscience recommend a visit anyway: a nice square of garden simply wasn't enough to make it worth coming, however pretty that was.
