Unsatisfied experience, minimal in-water time with whaleshark

点评：I joined the Humpback Swim Tour in August and came away pretty unsatisfied with the whole experience. I know wildlife can be unpredictable, but for the price we paid and the long journey to get here, the management and customer service fell way short of what you'd expect from a premium operator.
Because the boat takes 20 people and in-water regulations limit swims to 10 at a time, we had to split into two groups. Between sharing the spotter plane with other boats and waiting our turn, our actual time in the water with the whale was barely a minute before we had to get back on board. On top of that, our initial 30-minute warm-up snorkel felt like a waste of time—there was almost nothing underwater, and our guide didn’t bother trying to help us spot anything, just floated alongside on a rescue board.
What really ruined the day was our in-water guide. The rest of the boat crew were ok, but this guide was super disengaged. Right at the start at the marina, they asked if anyone had "spare hands" to help, and guests ended up carrying ALL the lunch supplies and gear while the guide carried absolutely nothing. To make matters worse, they showed zero patience for weaker swimmers or anyone adjusting their mask. When someone missed a quick sighting, instead of being supportive, they just sternly told them "you need to swim." People were already bummed to miss the moment, so that kind of attitude was really uncalled for.
We paid a lot for this trip, but between the lack of effort and total lack of empathy from the guide, it was a genuinely disappointing day.

我们为这次旅行支付了不菲的费用。但由于导游既不尽力，又毫无同理心，这一天真的令人失望至极。
