Grand Turk Cruise Center的点评
点评：I had certain expectations went I saw that my cruise will be stopping at Grand Turks….since it is part of Turks and Caicos. I was wrong!
My friends and I had plans to just stay on the beach and shop around before actually arriving there. We were disappointed.
You have to walk through a shop in order to see the rest of the island, so that you and other tourist can spend some money.
The free beach chairs were VERY limited and there were no umbrellas. However, there were people trying to sell us beach chairs + umbrella to use for $20 each. So make sure you carry CASH with you. We didn’t noticed till afterwards that the guy led us to his beach chairs that were set up past the cruise center property (there was a sign) but on the same shoreline.
There was a pink Starbucks, lines were crazy long with only two employees working that day.
Margaritaville was also there with a pool and a few beach chairs. That pool was CRAZY PACKED. We did not even attempt to bring the kids there.
The beach itself wasn’t the clearest compared to the other beaches our cruise stopped at the days before. Again, I was under the impression that because it was part of Turks and Caicos, the water would be turquoise and clear. It was also very rocky so wear your water shoes.
There was a stand near the shops with a man selling his art made of conch shells. It was very beautiful and there was no other shop there selling anything similar!
I bought two of his mini shells! Go check out the TCI Shellman!
Overall, I would recommend paying for an excursion where you can visit a different beach on the island to avoid the crowds and hope that the water is better.
If you don’t want to go far from the cruise ship and don’t mind the crowds, arrive early to snag a free beach chair or leave your stuff right on the sand like most people did. Bring cash if you don’t mind spending extra money on beach chairs and umbrella.

Margaritaville度假村里也有一个泳池以及几张沙滩椅。那个泳池里挤得水泄不通啊。我们甚至都没试着带孩子们去那里。
与我们之前乘游轮停靠过的其他海滩相比，这片海滩的海水并不算清澈。我原以为既然这里属于特克斯和凯科斯群岛，海水应该是绿松石色且清澈见底的。不过这里的海底岩石很多，所以一定要穿上涉水鞋。
在商店附近有个摊位，有个男子正在售卖他用海螺壳制作的艺术品。那些作品非常精美，而且附近也没有其他店铺出售类似的商品！我买了两个他制作的迷你贝壳工艺品！快去看看TCI Shellman的作品吧！
总的来说，我建议花钱参加那种可以前往岛上其他海滩的旅游项目，这样能避开人群，而且水质或许也更好。
如果你不想离游轮太远且能接受人多的情况，那就早点去以便抢到免费的沙滩椅；或者像大多数人那样直接把东西放在沙滩上就行。如果你不介意多花点钱租沙滩椅和遮阳伞的话，记得带上现金哦。
