点评：I planned our entire trip around the truffle hunt at Black Truffle Lodge, and it was everything I had hoped for. After traveling through Paris, Switzerland and Rome, our stay in Pettino was the most personal and memorable part of the journey.
Francesca made us feel so welcome. Learning about her family, their sheep, and the community’s centuries-old traditions gave us a connection to this beautiful place that went far beyond a typical vacation. Hearing how deeply her family’s roots are tied to the land was something I will always remember.
The lodge was lovely, with thoughtful comforts such as cashmere blankets and a wonderful soaking tub. But it was the people, the mountain landscape and the experience of hunting for truffles that made our stay extraordinary.
I even brought home wool from their own sheep—a special reminder of our time there that I look forward to knitting with.
Black Truffle Lodge was everything I hoped for and more. We left with beautiful memories and a real affection for the people and this remarkable place.
