点评：Having snorkeled across the Hawaiian islands and St.Johns island, we were searching for snorkeling in the Dominican Republic and not too far from Punta Cana. We learned that this beautiful country is not known for snorkeling. Tour guides and online reviews point to Catalina island as the best destination for Dominican Republic snorkeling.
We booked a tour (via the concierge at Westin Punta Cana)
-About 1.5 hour drive from Punta Cana to a place near Bayahibe beach.
-About one hour catamaran ride to the location for snorkeling. It is near El Muro.
-We spent about 45 minutes snorkeling. Limited fish, one eagle ray, some beautiful coral.
-Then the tour moved on to a small white sand beach setting for a two hour stop for simple food and beach lounging.
-about 1.5 hour catamaran ride back to the launching point.
