点评：Durer lived here from 1509 to 1528. Since 19th century, the building served as a Dürer memorial and museum. It was damaged during bombing in World War II. Fortunately, the government restored it to its original state after the war.
I greatly admire and respect the German government's policy and determination in restoring historical sites. Many important buildings, and even entire towns damaged in World War II, have been restored to their former glory after the war.
This house recreates the living spaces and studios of Durer, his family, his assistants and students. A special exhibition hall on the second floor displays Durer's representative works. The works are extremely high-quality reproductions, so realistic that they could easily be mistaken for the originals.
It wasn't until I thought about those paintings should be housed in major European art museums separately and couldn't possibly be gathered here that I realized.
Lingering the former residences of a great artist, feeling his life, and appreciating his outstanding works....
