点评：Please kindly visit these gorgeous donkeys if you can. They have had a very hard time of it & need your love & financial support. They are real characters & Linda, the owner of the Retreat, will introduce you & tell you all about them. I got to meet them in the field today & it was a great pleasure to engage with these sweet donkeys. They love being stroked & getting attention from visitors. Linda is the Donkey's Champion & doesn't mince words about those who have treated them so abominably. The donkeys' housing is very good & Linda & her volunteers keep a clean & tidy yard, with a scattering of chickens. There are stunning views from the Retreat & there is a little gift shop, which also has information about the rescue of some of the donkeys. If you are touring the area, Linda will also recommend other places to visit - if you can drag yourself away from the donkeys. Please always check the website & ring Linda first before visiting, in case they are busy with pick-ups, vet or farrier appointments. You can normally visit Monday to Friday between 10am to 12 noon.
