Misleading wait times and no refunds!

点评：Decided to try crossing here a a scenic alternative to taking the 40 and crossing a Montreal bridge. Traffic backed up onto the shoulder of the main road meant a 15 minute wait. Bought the tickets online while I waited which was more painful and invasive than it should be in 2025 (a lot of personal information required and an account setup for a service I will use once…). When I got to the main booth they scanned my ticket and told me to wait in the second last line. We waited an hour. When boat arrived and loaded, every line except the last two (including mine) went on board, meaning I was facing another hour wait on top of the 1 hour 15 I had already waited. It was supper time by this point and that didn’t work for me so I asked the attendant and he said I could leave through a side exit and ask for a refund online. I did that and filed a refund request. Surprise: once they scan your ticket their policy is that you can’t get a refund. I find this frankly unacceptable to be charged for a service you don’t receive and not have a refund. I paid 18 bucks to wait in a car lineup for 1h30. Not impressed. Be aware of this before you buy or commit to wait.
