点评：The end of an era and the beginning of a new one…!
October 12, 2026, turned out to be a rather nostalgic day for me! I’ve been flying in and out of Burbank Airport since I was a little kid, and now, at 54 years old, it’s amazing to think how many memories I’ve made here over the past five decades!
I’ve always LOVED this airport! It’s convenient, easy to navigate, and a wonderful alternative to the larger Los Angeles airports. Best of all, it helps you avoid that infamous LA parking lot, otherwise known as the 405 freeway…! LOL!
Check-in and security have always been relatively painless, and while the Southwest terminal doesn’t have airline lounges, there are restaurants and bars where you can relax before your flight. It’s simply a great airport without all the unnecessary hassle!
But this visit was special.
As I arrived on October 12, my Southwest app notified me that I’d be arriving at the ORIGINAL Burbank Airport, but departing from the BRAND NEW terminal on October 15!
WOW…! Talk about perfect timing!
Suddenly, I realized this might be my last visit to an airport terminal I’ve known practically my entire life. The familiar baggage claim, moving walkways, simple layout, and even those old-fashioned aircraft stairways. It’s bittersweet saying goodbye to something so familiar.
Of course, I’m also excited to experience the new terminal! And if it has modern jet bridges, my aging knees and back will certainly appreciate not having to climb those airplane stairs anymore…! LOL!
Five stars for decades of convenience, simplicity, and wonderful memories!
Here’s hoping the new terminal keeps everything that made the original so special while bringing Burbank Airport into a new era.

值机和安检一直都相当顺利。虽然西南航空的航站楼里没有航空公司贵宾室，但也有不少餐馆和酒吧，让旅客们能在起飞前放松一下。总的来说，这是一座非常不错的机场，不存在任何不必要的麻烦！
不过这次的行程有些特别。
10月12日我抵达时，西南航空的应用程序提醒我：我将抵达的是原来的伯班克机场，而10月15日返程时则要使用全新落成的航站楼！哇……！这时机简直完美！
突然间，我意识到这可能是我一生中最后一次造访这座我再熟悉不过的航站楼了。熟悉的行李提取区、自动人行道、简洁的布局，甚至那些老式的飞机舷梯。要告别如此熟悉的一切，真是百感交集啊。
当然，能体验新航站楼我也兴奋不已！如果那里有现代化的登机桥就更好了。我那逐渐老化的膝盖和腰背肯定会感激不已——终于不用再爬飞机上的楼梯了……！哈哈！
几十年来，这里带来了无尽的便利、简单与美好回忆，值得五星好评！
希望新航站楼能保留原本航站楼的所有特色，同时带领伯班克机场迈入一个全新的时代。
