Backroads for a 5 star experience!
Backroads的点评
点评：Just returned from Backroads trip from Austria into Italy. This was our second adventure with them, (did Vietnam 18 months ago.) Both were wonderful. Most recent guides Mandy, Laura, and Leoni could not have been better: Friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable about local customs, history, and of course great biker support.
When my husband experienced an unfortunate accident, all three of them flew into immediate, skilled, coordinated action. Thankfully he was able to continue on the trip, but did not bike. These leaders, and corporate Backroads were in constant communication to check on him, and inquire about our needs. This included any assistance with filing for trip insurance reimbursement. (You would be silly to leave home without it.) Less than a month from returning, we have received insurance payment, thanks to help from Elle in Backroads admin.
Regarding the biking, hotel and group experience, definitely 5 star. Routes well planned, E-bikes worked great. Spectacular scenery. Hotels were lovely, with few minor exceptions. Historic hotel properties do have challenges, but I heard no complaints from other bikers.
Our group of 12 was a perfect number. Previous Vietnam journey with 26 was great fun, but did not achieve the cohesiveness of the smaller number. We had a wonderful time together, and I returned very happy to have 11 new friends.
Highly recommend Backroads. Maybe we'll be on your next adventure! For perspective, I'm 69, husband 72. Very active, but are recreational bikers.
